Stating the Obvious

Where is spring??

I haven’t written an article for this blog in some time and, yes, I realize that’s clear from the long gap between my last post and this one.  For awhile it was the pressure of life and now I realize that it’s not really any fault of my own.  As snow blankets the grounds outside, I realize that there is likely not much I’m going to be able to go on about until Spring.

I’ve done so much research and sharing this information with you is a great joy for me. However, I’ve come to a small end here on subjects I feel comfortable relaying without having done them myself.  I’m hoping after the new year that I will be able to attempt trying out my existing articles for myself.  That means articles will be revamped with new information, which is an exciting prospect in and of itself.  Clearly I can only go on about the ones able to be done indoors, and certainly nothing requiring me to grow anything.  I hope, though, to wade through those at length before applying myself to new subjects and subsequent articles.

I think that when Spring does roll around, that there will be a lot more posts rolling in.  In-depth personal experiences laboring in my big backyard will, I hope, freshen up my dirt-loving muse.  I’m looking forward to the trials and errors to come, from growing my own food, to experience with chickens, to saving seed and storing harvests.  I can’t help but feel it will make me a more conscious consumer, because I will work hard to save what I’ve worked hard to achieve.  No longer will fruits and vegetables rot away in the fridge, oh no, not when I sweat my hind end for it.  Oh dear, I did just confess that things rot in my fridge–well, hopefully this happens to everyone and I’m not a horrific home owner that is not so thrifty.

With all the snow, my inner agriculturist is twittering forlornly at being restricted from sunny and green adventures to come.  I’m just going to have to console myself by getting myself prepared to strike out at first chance this coming year.

I hope you’ll hear from me soon!

P.S. – I feel a blogging design revamp on the horizon!
